Cheng Feiyang raised an eyebrow, "This has nothing to do with being from the countryside or not. It’s simply wrong to wear someone else’s clothes without the owner being around." No wonder Yang Xiaoxi said her cousin couldn’t tell right from wrong; it was indeed the case.
Originally, he had intended for Zhu Yun to wait in the yard for Yang Xiaoxi to return, but Zhu Yun, not feeling like an outsider in the least, had not only entered the house but also put on Xiaoxi’s clothes.
If he remembered correctly, this set of clothes was Xiaoxi’s favorite. She hardly ever wore it unless there was a special occasion.
"What else am I supposed to wear if I have no clothes? I can’t just go around naked, can I?" Zhu Yun said, somewhat aggrieved, her eyes reddening.
Cheng Feiyang glanced at her and couldn’t be bothered to expose her lie, "Eat something first! I have a class to attend; I need to go to school. You’ll be by yourself, so lock the courtyard gate properly. Don’t wander around, and if we’re not back, don’t open the door for anyone."
