Chapter 93: Travel and crossing the line (3)
Adilun subtly lifted her head to look at Physis. The faint blush on her face and the budding anticipation that colored her features softly reached out to him.
Time seemed to crawl slowly. It felt as if a time barrier had been set, even though none was actually in place... Strangely, the road to the inn felt unusually long.
Perhaps it was because they were both anticipating something. Adilun, stealing sidelong glances at Physis, hurried her pace while trying to appear nonchalant.
Time, reluctant though it may have been, eventually moved on. Before they knew it, the pair found themselves back in front of the inn.
"...Shall we go?"
"...Yes."
Though they'd 'seen' each other before, crossing this line would be a first for both of them, making them both nervous. Adilun then made up her mind.
Now was the time to reveal everything she had diligently prepared. Last time, she was so happy with the blissful time she had spent with Physis.
This time would be even better, if not equally so. She had even lied about building up stamina for fighting the demon king, so Physis wouldn't know how much she had been looking forward to this day.
Physis would likely be quite surprised. Without knowing, Adilun felt her cheeks flush; all sorts of audacious and embarrassing fantasies unfolded in her mind.
Physis was the same. How long had he waited for this day since their last intimate night? In order to endure so far, he had to muster almost superhuman restraint.
After going through so much, it was clear where both their hearts stood; the only thing left was to break down the remaining walls between them.
