Elias knew Kryll's offer was laden with duplicity. The Skrulls were opportunists. Now that the immediate Kree threat to Earth was diminished, they would be looking to exploit Earth's "primitive" status and Elias's unique assets for their own ends. But Elias now held several powerful new cards. He had proven Earth was not defenseless. He had acquired vast amounts of Kree technology, including functional (if damaged) FTL drives, advanced energy weapons, and detailed star charts.
