366 – Heating Up Food For Later
"Oh! Look at that building! It's got spikes! Who needs spikes on a building?" Dani said, bouncing excitedly ahead of Brandy. After her first fight, Brandy had praised the Magikarp, and Dani had turned all that praise into an infectious babbling energy.
"I think they just like the look of them," Brandy said, cheesecake box in her arms as she walked at a leisurely pace. She would let Dani have her fun, this was the perfect chance to bond a little. "I'm not sure I'd want that, it probably gets all sorts stuck on it."
"Maybe," Dani said, leaning on a black-painted steel fence as Brandy caught up to her. "But maybe you'd catch a Pokémon or two."
"I'm doing pretty well with that already," Brandy grinned. "Not sure I can handle anymore."
Brandy gave Dani a light hip bump, playful but firm enough to make the shorter woman stumble slightly. She smirked as Dani froze for a second, her face instantly going red. Cute. Brandy had noticed how easily flustered Dani could get, and something about it made her want to poke at it a little more.
Tucking the cheesecake box under one arm, Brandy got closer, towering over Dani as she backed the Magikarp back into the steel fence.
Dani let out a strangled noise before recovering. "O-oh, uh, right! Yeah, that makes sense! Y-you've got plenty already! Haha!" She gripped the fence behind her, tapping against the metal like she needed something to anchor herself.
Brandy tilted her head slightly but stayed silent, curious to see how deep Dani would dig herself into this flustered hole. Their eyes met, and for a moment, Dani was frozen, locked in Brandy's gaze. Brandy could see how Dani's breath hitched, how her fingers curled slightly against the fence like she was trying to ground herself. It made Brandy feel weirdly powerful, knowing she could have this effect on someone with just a look.
Dani tried to match the intensity of Brandy's stare, but inevitably, her gaze betrayed her.
It started as a downward flicker, hesitant, but then it kept going. Brandy could feel Dani's eyes on her jawline, drifting down the curve of her throat, lingering at her collarbone before moving lower. She wasn't just looking; she was taking Brandy in, piece by piece as if she were overwhelmed by all of it. Brandy could practically feel how Dani's focus traced over her arms, the subtle muscle definition in her shoulders, and she was absolutely captivated.
Dani swallowed heavily, and Brandy traced her throat with a finger very gently massaging the skin.
"Like what you see?"
Dani made a noise somewhere between a squeak and a gasp, her body tensing at the light touch. Brandy felt the slightest shudder under her fingertip before Dani clamped her lips shut, her grip on the fence tightening. How her skin wetted beneath Brandy's touch did not go unnoticed, but that mystery could wait for now.
Brandy let her hand drop, but it was a dirty trick to drag Dani's gaze down further. Dani's breath caught as her eyes hovered at Brandy's chest, lingering there even longer than before. Brandy had been flat once, but a hefty helping of inheritance from Sparky and Calcine had really helped fill her curves out. She could almost see the moment Dani realized just how much she had to tilt her head back to look over the curve of Brandy's chest and meet her gaze again. Her eyes were just absolutely filled with awe.
"Plenty more of me," Brandy teased, running a thumb along Dani's lips. "If you're looking, you might as well see it all."
Dani let out a tiny, choked sound, her eyes impossibly wide as Brandy's thumb brushed against her lower lip. She wobbled, grip tightening on the fence like she might melt into the pavement. "I... I..." she stammered, voice barely above a whisper. "I wasn't... I mean, I wasn't... I mean, I was, but... I... you..." Her words collapsed into an unintelligible squeak, her face burning so hot Brandy almost worried she might pass out.
Brandy chuckled, watching Dani practically vibrate in place, her entire body betraying just how hopelessly flustered she was. Dani finally managed to tear her gaze away, clamping both hands over her face as if that might somehow erase the last thirty seconds of her life.
"Arceus scoop me up and hug me," Dani whimpered behind her hands. "I am going to spontaneously combust. I'm actually dying."
Brandy smirked, shifting her weight and letting her fingers brush against Dani's wrist, just to watch her shudder again. "Not yet, you're not. You're my partner, and I'm going to look after you."
Dani peeked out from behind her fingers, still impossibly red, breathing shallowly. "I'm so doomed," she muttered before letting out an exasperated groan. "I can't handle you."
Brandy grinned, pressing a hand over Dani's shoulders and leaning in to slot Dani's head neatly atop her chest, the frills of her maid dress teasing at Dani's cheeks. "We'll see about that."
This was way too much fun.
Still overheating, Dani clenched her fists at her sides and made a strangled, frustrated noise. "I swear, Brandy, if you keep this up, I'm going to." She cut herself off with a high-pitched whimper, unable to even finish the threat.
"One day, you'll be able to finish that thought. I know it. You're going to do your best for me, aren't you?" Brandy gently pushed Dani to get her walking again. Her legs were so wobbly she had to lean on Brandy for support, her orange pigtails bouncing behind her as she let her face smush into the soft fabric of Brandy's maid dress.
"I just can't handle pretty women," Dani mumbled. "And you're so pretty."
Brandy blinked, caught off guard momentarily before a warm smile spread across her face. She softened, brushing a few strands of hair from Dani's eyes. "I'm so used to the others being boisterous," she murmured. "And I think you're pretty, too."
Dani made another strangled noise, burying her face further against Brandy. "Nope. Too much. Shutting down. Goodbye."
Brandy let her arm rest comfortably around Dani's shoulders, patting her gently. "It will take a bit for you to get used to us, but I was impressed with how you handled the Froslass twins. You listened to what I said and went the extra mile to please them. Couldn't be more happy with your performance."
Dani groaned into her dress. "This all feels like a dream, like any second I'm going to wake up back in the sea. You passed up Arabella for me, and she's like a super fossil lady! It's crazy. I can't even think straight."
"Then don't," Brandy said, giving Dani a comforting squeeze. "Enjoy having your brain bubble away. I know I did with Rhona. I could barely keep up with her."
Dani fell into silence, her feet dragging on the street pavement.
"You're thinking of me and Rhona together, aren't you?"
"It'd be so hot," Dani whispered. "Oh my gosh."
Brandy squeezed her shoulders, smiling. "She's going to do unspeakable things to me later. But that's okay, I'll enjoy it. Believe me, I love you can't handle me. You melt under my touch, look at me like I'm glowing. It's very flattering."
"I want to kiss your thighs. Is that weird?" Dani said. "Like, lovingly."
"Compared to Sparky, that's just cute. Then what?"
"I don't know. I don't know!" Dani blurted, "Can you take charge then? I like it when I'm told what to do. It's super simple!"
"I will absolutely walk you through every step," Brandy promised. "I will insist you take off my clothes, piece by piece."
Dani puffed like a bellow just at the thought of it, which was absolutely adorable. It would be fun to take full charge for once. Sparky was always a battle, while Morgan and Calcine liked to lead as much as they laid back. If Dani followed orders, Brandy could get her to be assertive with her needs while fully submitting to Brandy's every word, which sounded delightful.
"That sounds great." Dani sniffed happily, her eyes peeking out from Brandy's chest. "Is that what Rhona's going to do with you?"
Fuck. The thought of that. The older lady had such a commanding tone and clearly knew what she loved. The older woman's eyes were burned into Brandy's brain. She looked at Brandy like prey and seemed to know how Brandy would react to every wandering touch. Later, oh, later, Rhona would do things to her. Unspeakable things. Things that would make her forget her own name, Brandy just knew it. She could already feel the heat curling at the base of her spine, the phantom press of hands at her waist, the smug little smirk Rhona would give when Brandy bent to her will.
It was a fantasy you could get lost in, and Brandy got very lost.
Which may be why Brandy walked straight into a lamppost.
