Journey to the West: Sun Wukong's Advice System

Sun Wukong wanted to understand the monk’s real purpose, so he did not refuse and directly agreed to learn from Golden Cicada by his side.

But soon after, he thought it might really be retaliation!

"Great Saint, I really don’t understand," the monk said. "Buddhist Law says that good and evil stem from the heart, benefiting others is good karma, harming others is bad karma. You forced Zi Wei Great Emperor to personally kill his own brother, which is also bad karma."

"You monk, why don’t you ask what his brother did?"

"The Buddha said that being kind to others is the greatest good," the monk replied. "No matter what wrong he did, he should be given a chance to repent."

"I already gave him a chance," Wukong retorted. "Otherwise, Ji Shuming would never be reborn, rather than forever falling into the cycle of reincarnation."
