Chapter 50 Settlement and Toxicity
Just when all the immortals and Sun Wukong were puzzled by the turn of events in the case.
Seated high on the throne in the grand hall, the Jade Emperor said, "Sun Wukong, you have trespassed into someone’s residence without permission, and you have ridden recklessly in the Milky Way, which violates the heavenly laws and decrees. Are you aware of your crimes now?"
With a twinkle in his eyes, Sun Wukong sensed an underlying message in the Jade Emperor’s words, so he clasped his hands together and bowed respectfully, "Your Majesty, Wukong is guilty, please punish Wukong."
The Jade Emperor, with his majestic voice, decreed, "If so, you are hereby ordered to quickly solve this case as a way to atone for your sins. Otherwise, your multiple offenses will be punished together, and I will have you subjected to the punishment of axe, yue, and thunder!"
Upon hearing these words, Xiao Zhen’s expression turned extremely ugly, as if he had suffered a great insult.
Yet, at this moment, Sun Wukong spoke again, "Your Majesty, I can investigate the case, but I require another decree from you granting me the authority to question all gods and immortals in Heaven."
The faces of the immortals all changed, thinking this monkey was being far too presumptuous!
The Jade Emperor tapped lightly on his Nine Heavens throne before speaking softly, "As long as it relates to the case, you may question anyone. No immortals may refuse, but Ne Zha must supervise you."
"Your servants obey the decree," the immortal officers and divine generals could only respond.
"I obey the decree!" Only Ne Zha, brimming with excitement, bowed loudly.
