Chapter 16: Overpowering the Six Demon Kings
Dark clouds filled the sky as turbulent waves surged fiercely, alarming all the monkeys on the mountain and the seventy-two demon kings who forgot about defending their camps and practicing their formations.
"Don't panic, my children, don't panic!" Sun Wukong called out, soaring into the sky, where he saw from afar the presumptuous figure of the sea serpent coming to seek retribution, igniting fury in his heart.
"Who are you, demon, to dare to attack my Water Curtain Cave in Flower-Fruit Mountain!"
"Hmph!" The sea serpent transformed into a woman in green, standing defiantly upon the crest of a wave. "Is there really someone within the four seas who does not know the name of the Sea Dragon King of the North Sea?"
"Sea Dragon King?" Sun Wukong scratched his face, demanding, "You unreasonable woman, tell me clearly, when have I ever killed your subordinates?"
"Have you been to the Murky Water Cave of Kan Yuan Mountain some time ago?" the Sea Dragon King asked.
"So what if I have?" Sun Wukong sneered. "That vile bird demon bullied my children and even aimed to occupy my Water Curtain Cave Residence, so I taught him a lesson, yet I did not take his life.
You falsely accuse me of such things, truly unreasonable, and for that, you deserve a beating!"
The Sea Dragon King raged, "The few little demons that survived saw with their own eyes that it was you who killed the vile bird demon, setting fire to the Murky Water Cave. This is solid evidence, how dare you still argue?
To kill is to kill; yet you refuse to admit it, you mountain monkey, truly shameless and hypocritical to the extreme."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, with your sharp tongue, you're asking for a beating!" Sun Wukong hated being wrongfully accused more than anything.
