TL note: In his youth, Morgan was the sole survivor of an attack by Captain Kuro of the Black Cat Pirates, and was subsequently hypnotized into thinking he had captured the infamous pirate. Neither man is known to have thought about the other since, though Morgan continues to allude to the incident as justification for his Captain rank.
