Chapter 218: Call to Stop
Hearing someone call out to stop, Ji Yu looked over curiously.
"Why is it you?" Ji Yu stared at Li Yu in exasperation, baffled about what was going on. Could he actually be trying to kidnap her?
"It’s just a misunderstanding, there’s no need to blow this out of proportion. Besides, I invited you here because there’s something I need to discuss with you," Li Yu said candidly about the situation.
He knew Ji Yu was a capable person, so he wasn’t particularly surprised by how things turned out.
The police officers on-site, seeing the situation, were momentarily unsure about what to do next.
"Do you two know each other?"
Ji Yu realized that certain things could only be discussed privately between them; involving the police wasn’t an option.
"Sorry to trouble you all today. This is just a misunderstanding; I’ve figured it out now. My friend invited me here to discuss something—it was accidental, that’s all."
The police officers, seeing this explanation, could only back off for now.
With the two seeming acquainted and no signs of a physical altercation, they could only retreat for the moment.
Ji Yu stared at Li Yu, curious about what exactly he wanted from her.
"Going through all this trouble to get me here—don’t tell me you just wanted to see me?" With so many people around her, she naturally wasn’t afraid of whatever move he might try to make next.
