Chapter 7: A Drugged Maiden
Kyren went inside his tent again to check on Anna after Rafe left. To his surprise, the girl was now sitting on the bed and staring blankly before turning her gaze to him.
Unlike her previous condition, she no longer looked weak and helpless. However, something was different about her appearance.
A flirty smile was etched on her lips as her eyes stared at him. She suddenly tittered strangely.
"You’re handsome! Can I kiss you?"
Her request startled and momentarily made him speechless. Then, he recalled what Rafe had mentioned.
The woman was now under the influence of the drug.
"Oh, kiss me, please! I’ve never been kissed before! Kiss me!"
Her eyes were wide open, and she agitatedly stood up, trying to pounce on Kyren, but her small frame was no match for the commander’s strength. With just one hand, he managed to block her ridiculous action.
"Don’t you want a virgin? Am I not pretty?"
Like a deranged person, Anna giggled as she tried to hug him. Kyren pushed her body away and frowned at her.
"Lady! You’re acting weird!" he said.
