Shen Xu drew plots twenty-seven, thirty-six, sixty-six, eighty-one, three hundred and thirty-three and six hundred and sixty-six while Zhen Yuan drew plots three, nine, twelve, ninety-nine, one hundred and eight, and nine hundred and ninety-nine.
Seeing the number of plots that the two drew, several leaders shook their heads but didn’t say anything.
After all, they had already advised Luo Jianfeng to give up some of the quotas but the man didn’t listen.
’I am afraid these two disciples will be challenged to death.’ They thought, planning to watch the good show.
After the plots were decided, everyone returned to their ships to prepare.
"Your plots are not close to each other. How do you plan to guard them?" Chen Yi asked, looking at Shen Xu and Zhen Yuan.
"I will arrange formations around mine. Whoever breaks the formation will be the plot’s new owner." Zhen Yuan said and turned to Shen Xu.
"I will refine a furnace of pills at each plot and leave them there. Whoever refines better quality pills will be the plot’s new owner." Shen Xu revealed and the Dongfang couple couldn’t help but be shocked.
"You won’t take each challenge personally? Isn’t this a little risky?" Dongfang Jing asked and turned to Zhen Yuan.
"If someone breaks your formation in one plot, they can do so for the other plots. Losing one formation will likely result in the loss of all your plots." He said.
"I think it’s better to use different methods. Use a formation in one plot, compete in talismans in another, and so forth. Change it up to avoid a total loss." Chen Yi advised.
"Don’t worry. It’s not so easy to break my formations." Zhen Yuan said, his eyes narrowed into slits.
Zhen Yuan was confident but he didn’t underestimate his opponents.
After all, people’s experiences were different and there was no guarantee that someone would not be able to break his formations.
Considering this, Zhen Yuan didn’t plan to arrange ordinary formations but a combined five elements array containing inscription, talisman, and formation runes.
This formation was a self-created array that he had been working on since he learned the five elements formation in the Tianqi continent’s forbidden zone. It was not only the most powerful formation he knew, but it was also his most complex and proudest work.
Since the combined five elements formation was his best effort, Zhen Yuan was willing to admit defeat if someone managed to break it.
"Aren’t you worried that someone will use brute force to break it?" Chen Yi asked and Zhen Yuan smiled.
He had naturally considered this possibility.

"I will refine the qi replenishing pill." The double replied and the other two gasped in shock.
"Shen Xu, are you looking down on people? You want to use the qi replenishing pill to compete with other alchemists?" Dongfang Jing asked but Shen Xu didn’t explain.
"You will see." The double said.
Three days passed in the blink of an eye.
On this day, everyone gathered on the ship’s deck and Luo Jianfeng stood at the front with a solemn expression.
"I will explain our strategy." Luo Jianfeng said and quickly continued.
"Our priority is to retain the current plots, do your best not to cede territory to other forces. Also, harvest and mine as much as possible during your free time. That way, you can achieve some value even if you later lose the plot." He said.
"Won’t a loss implicate what we have already harvested and mined?" Someone asked but Luo Jianfeng shook his head.
"A loss will only affect what’s still on the land." He said and everyone couldn’t help but be excited.
[Ayuan, I refined some low-level puppets. We can use them to mine and harvest.] Shen Xu transmitted and Zhen Yuan nodded.
[I will arrange isolation formations on your plots. That way, you can use puppets without worry.] He said.
Soon after, the Tianxuan sect cultivators left the ship and went to the island. Similarly, other groups disembarked and everyone gathered on the shore.
"You can compete however you want within this year. After one year, the competition will end and ownership will become permanent." One of the leaders said.
With that, the crowd disbanded and the competitors began walking to their plots.
[Ayuan, I will see you in a bit.] Shen Xu said and Zhen Yuan nodded.
[Take care of yourself.] He said.
After that, the two separated and each walked to their nearest plot.
The one thousand plots were roughly the same size; each about five thousand acres. However, some were barren, others had forests, and so forth.
At this time, Zhen Yuan walked to plot ninety-nine which was half sand and the other half had thousands of red-leaf coconut trees.
Red-leaf coconuts were not precious.
However, the Tianxuan sect was not close to the ocean hence red-leaf coconuts were not available in ordinary shops.
’I should get more for Shen Xu.’ Zhen Yuan thought and began working.
First, he arranged a combined five elements formation around the land and when that was done, he removed one hundred puppets from the Chaos Flame space and let them mine and harvest.
Zhen Yuan originally had one set of materials for the five elements formation.
However, his modified formation relied more on runes than on materials. Because of this, Zhen Yuan was able to substitute some of the precious materials with common counterparts.
After dealing with plot ninety-nine, he walked to plot three and repeated the process.
’Two plots down, four to go.’ He thought and began walking to plot nine.
However, before he arrived, he felt a tag in his mind and he subconsciously narrowed his eyes.
’I didn’t expect it to happen so soon.’ He thought, smiled, and continued walking.
