Chapter 456: Explosion
While Shen Xu and the alchemists were preparing antidotes, Zhen Yuan was suppressing several enemies in his heavenly laws’ domain.
"A Mahayana realm brat thinks he can trap three tribulation transcending realm ancestors, one level nine monster, two level eight monsters, and five Mahayana realm cultivators?" A mahayana realm cultivator mocked and simultaneously attacked the domain.
Unfortunately, the golden domain shimmered, amplifying and rebounding the attack.
Before the person could react, his rebounded attack hit him and he was flung several metres away, hitting another part of the domain, only to suffer another rebound.
In no time, the Mahayana realm cultivator was inexplicably killed and his companions couldn’t help but be shocked.
"What kind of domain is this?" A female cultivator asked with a frightened expression.
"This is not the ordinary domain of a Mahayana realm cultivator." One of the tribulation transcending realm cultivators said.
"I don’t believe I can’t break it." One of the ancestors said and tried to release his own domain.
Unfortunately, he soon discovered that he couldn’t release his domain no matter how hard he tried.
"How is this possible?" He asked and quickly continued.
"I am tribulation transcending realm cultivator and he is just a Mahayana realm brat. How can his domain suppress my domain?" He wondered and turned to the other ancestors.
"Why don’t you try releasing your domains?" He suggested and the others did.
However, the result was the same and none of the trapped cultivators could release their domain.
"Let’s try attacking it." Someone suggested but the Mahayana realm cultivators didn’t dare.
After all, they had just witnessed their fellow’s inexplicable death.
"Old He, your pink-hair jellyfish can control those two jellyfishes. Ask it to let the two jellyfishes attack the domain." One of the elders suggested and He Chong nodded.
A moment later, the two, level eight pink-hair jellyfishes, jointly attacked the domain.
Unfortunately, the result was more tragic than the previous Mahayana realm cultivator.
After all, the jellyfishes used all their strength to attack the domain hence the rebound was more brutal and the two couldn’t withstand one hit.
"Dead." A Mahayana realm cultivator muttered with a shocked expression.
"A level eight attack isn’t enough to break this domain. Shall we try a level nine?" An ancestor asked but his fellows didn’t agree.
"This domain is too abnormal." He Chong said.
"Old He is right. Let’s figure it out before we attack it." The third ancestor said and narrowed his eyes.
"That brat is only a mahayana realm cultivator. He shouldn’t be able to maintain this domain for long." He said.
The ancestor was right.
With his current strength, Zhen Yuan could maintain the domain for half an hour only.
After half an hour, his strength would be exhausted and the domain would collapse.
Knowing this, Zhen Yuan had made sure that Luo Jianfeng and the others understood that he could only hold off the enemy for a short time.
’I hope they won’t let me down.’ He thought and used his spiritual sense to check the situation.
’The ship is clear but the Luo Jianfeng and the others have yet to kill their opponent.’ He saw and subconsciously frowned.
Luo Jianfeng would ordinarily not have trouble dealing with Du Lang.

Seeing this, Zhen Yuan nodded and began forming hand gestures.
Ten breaths later, the domain exuded a terrifying gravity and the trapped opponents were forcibly pressed on the domain’s bottom barrier.
Simultaneously, a rune flew out of the domain, transformed into seven silver swords, and before anyone could react, the swords pierced their bodies.
When this was done, the pink-hair jellyfish suddenly rebelled, causing He Chong to suffer a backlash and spit blood but that was not the end.
Soon after, the jellyfish used its tentacles to pull everyone together and before the others realised what was going on, it exploded its demon core.
Everything happened in the blink of an eye and no one realised that something big had gone down until they heard a resounding bang.
"What was that?" A disciple asked, worried that they were about to face another ambush.
"It sounds like an explosion. Did someone explode themselves?"
"Who can use their spiritual sense? I want to know what is going on."
"We are all poisoned with the same toxins." Someone said, implying that he also couldn’t use his spiritual sense.
While the disciples and elders were speculating, Shen Xu flew out of the ship and rushed towards Zhen Yuan.
A moment later, he caught the person and a trace of anger flashed in his eyes when he saw his lover’s pale complexion.
"I will deal with you later." He said through gritted teeth.
"There was no other way." Zhen Yuan whispered, wanting to placate the double.
However, Shen Xu ignored him and hurriedly collected the storage rings and jellyfish corpses that were falling towards the ocean.
After collecting the loot, Shen Xu carried Zhen Yuan to the ship and helped him sit beside the unconscious tribulation transcending realm elder.
"Is fellow Daoist Zhen okay?" Sima Ling asked with a worried expression.
"He is fine. What could be wrong with him?" Shen Xu sneered and glared at Sima Ling.
’I just wanted to check on Zhen Yuan. Did I do something wrong?’ He wondered but wisely kept quiet.
"Drink this." Shen Xu said, giving Zhen Yuan a gourd of Yin Shi’s honey wine.
Although Yin Shi was a long way from a ten-elements honey bee queen, her honey was still a good thing and Shen Xu hoped it could help Zhen Yuan regain a little energy.
[I just need to rest for a few days to regain my energy. Don’t worry.] Zhen Yuan transmitted.
[What happened?] Shen Xu asked and Zhen Yuan sighed before he began explaining.
