Chapter 108: I Am Content
"We are here! Finally." Oriana had been to the royal palace before. But today, it felt different. Her heart raced as she looked at the large palace. It was not only age, looks that made Olivia lucky. She did not need to blackmail her husband to marry her.
He was doing it willingly. But that does not matter as long as they have wealth and power.
Six maids were waiting for them. They were escorted to the central palace where his majesty and her majesty were sitting together. Prince Elio, Prince Edward and Princess Evelyn were there too.
Oriana and Olivia bowed at once followed by Damon.
"You may rise. It is rare to find the whole family together, duchess Aykroyd. It must have been hard on you." Gabriella smiled as she offered them a seat.
"Damon requested us and we could not refuse. I have nothing but praise for my son." Olivia’s eyes widened as she looked at her sister with schock. Damon stiffened too. Not expecting Oriana to give him credit.
"Aah! So the lord cares about his mother well. I am pleasantly surprised to hear that." Gabreialla looked at Damon with smule but her eyes were so cold that she did not get the chance to insult him.
"Mother, you have invited all of them here?" Edward looked at his mother curiously. Olivia wanted to laugh at his acting. He was a natural. If he could not secure the crown, he could try theatre.
Gabreilla grinned with a mysterious smile.
