Chapter 67: Wish For His Happiness!
"Is that what you think?" Olivia chuckled but it ended up with hiccups making him sigh. "He did not invite me but he brought me here to see my reactions. He is a shrew man. So do not trust him. He will fool you."
"...." Damon had been insulted all his life. Behind his back and on his face. But it had never happened that a girl had been so bold to complain about him with him!?
"He is not that bad, you know." he refused, only for her to wriggle in his arms. He frowned and held her tightly.
"He is a.." she paused. "Pitiful person. He is only a bastard because he did not get the love he deserved. But... forget it! You should take care of your lord more. He did not express it. But he must have longed for family and love." she turned to look at him to meet his eyes.
But he froze when her breasts touched his chest. Even the caring words she whispered for him were lost in his panic. When he lowered his head, he could see her cleavage. Her red face was so enticing as if she was asking for a kiss! Damon had never felt such desire before. He did not know where to look.
"Why are you wearing such a thin gown! What if.." he gritted his teeth. He couldn’t even imagine what would have happened if it was someone else who had found her.
Olivia frowned and looked at her own gown. Though its color faded and it was stitched at some places, it was still comfortable and warm.
"I have only been wearing the gown for two years. How dare you complain about it." The sister of the duchess was wearing the same gown for two years! He couldn’t even imagine it. Now that she pointed, he noticed the stitching all around the hem and below the knees.
"And do not try to change the topic. Does your boss care about all of you or behave like a cold, stoic person in front of you too?" Olivia asked with intrigue. Damon rubbed his temples. What a nuisance! She irked him either she was sober or drunk.
