Oriana was standing in the large room. Five traders were standing straight with their goods displayed in front of them.
There was a large basket of spices in one basket, the other had fresh fruits, fresh meat, vegetables and grains.
"This is the best quality product, your grace. I have personally.."
"It is three weeks old. Even if I assume you took a week in transportation, the meat is old." her face was full of disdain making the man shiver.
He gulped as he looked at the meat in front of him. Except the royal family, no noble family pays so much attention and has such discerning eyes. These kinds of matters were handled by butler. How could a duchess check goods personally and with such good eyes!
"That is not the case, your grace. Look at its tenderness."
"Save it Marcus, I have many products to check. Edgar, make his bills as per the details I provided." the butler nodded at once with a serious look on his face.
One by one the other products were judged keenly. Oriana talked about their quality, their teaser and their worth easily as if she had done all this all her life. The traders did not dare to argue with her.
They left with a sigh of regret. The woman was getting better and better at buying things.
