Chapter 34: The Girl Is Drunk
"You seem nervous. Shall I invite your sister too, my lady." Edward stared at Olivia with a playful smile on his face. Olivia paused briefly. She had not expected Edward to only invite her in his cabin and more than that, she had never expected Oriana to accept the offer.
In her past life, it did not happen. They have seen the drama together. She had been so silent that she had been ignored most of the time.
But now, his eyes were on her only.
"I am just nervous, your highness. It is my first time meeting royalty." Olivia smiled sweetly like a naive child but the glint in his eyes told her that he did not take the excuse.
"Yet, you seem strangely comfortable in my presence that you have started eating at some point and even leaning on your sofa comfortably." Edward chuckled looking at her widening eyes. Her hands paused on the next macron.
Did girls eat that much? It was his first time seeing a woman actually eating leisurely.
"Ah, I am not complaining. You can have another one. I will ask the staff to refill your plate." his lips curled. As if he waited for her to let go of the macron and apologize and then explain how she did not eat this much normally. It was only because she was nervous. Then he would hold her hands and tell her that she did not need to be nervous.
But..
"Thank you, your highness." his eyes twitched as she nodded and picked up that macron. She ate it leisurely like before. Even the alertness on her face stayed momentarily when he asked the question.
