Chapter 442: Maddening
"Stop what? I did not do anything." Nora glared at him. But before she could complain he held her hand and pulled her. Her back hit his chest and she looked at him in confusion through the mirror.
He was not looking at her but at the mark on her neck. A bite mark he had left her. He looked at that so intently that her skin started to burn and prickle. A strange tingling feeling from last night returned.
"Your smile, your fragrance, your lips and your presence. Everything is so maddening. Now that I have tasted you, I could not get enough of you. But I already exhausted you last night. And now you have a conference to attend. So it is better that I control myself. Or you want to limp inside the conference hall. Hmm?" he breathed on her skin and she shivered.
A strange feeling filled her. Her heart fluttered and her eyes shone. Could it be counted as a confession?
"Alric.."
"Stop taking my name with such intensity or i will treat this robe too." he sighed looking at her face again yet his thumb kept rubbing that part of her neck.
He inhaled a deep breath but his face looked strained as if he was in pain.
"I need a bath too." he told her in a forced voice, "you should return to your room. They will be here soon."
"..." Nora only returned to her senses when he left her. "Wait! Who would be here?" but there was no one to reply to her.
