Chapter 440: You Deserve Better!
"You better do it properly." Nora paused when she saw Alric pacing into his room. She had thought he would leave after the strange proposal. She followed him with his eyes but slowly felt dizzy and gave up.
He must have heard her steps as he suddenly stopped and looked at her. He looked stunned!? Why? Had he expected her to vanish inside or dig a hole and hide in it when he did not accept her proposal! Ha! If he thought that she would be worried or disheartened then he was wrong.
She would make sure he would confess to her this time. And beg her to accept him. With that thought, her eyes narrowed and she stared back at him.
He watched her rosy face and then her fair legs.
"You must be tired after... bath! Would you like to go out for lunch or rest at home while I bring your favorite food?" food again? Was it the only excuse he could find?
Nora ignored him and walked to the dressing table. She attached the hair dryer and started drying her hair.
"I am already full with the breakfast you have brought for me. I am planning to go to work." she felt better when he frowned at her reply. Good! She was not the only one burning, she would make sure he looked worse with jealousy!
"I have a meeting with Victor too." she added watching his eyes narrowed and turning dark instantly. Now she feels much better.
When he took a step toward her, she retracted her gaze and acted as if nothing happened. As she dried her hair, she felt him standing behind her. He pulled the dryer from her grip and did it for her.
