"..... Nora!" Alex groaned.
"What? Do not tell me you want to act cold and strong until I cry and only then will you help me." she sniffled, already making him frown.

"Come on, Alex. I will help you with things keeping you busy and you will help me with the preparations. Since I do not have parents, I need to prepare myself. Would you not be part of my family?" her voice softened at last and she sighed. He knew she was acting! He now knew that she acted most of the time. But for some reason, she stared at the ceiling, she looked all alone in the vast world.
And why should he care! What did it have to do with him? She had Alric to protect her now. She had... he sighed. He could not see that face anymore. It looked like she was going to cry any moment.
"Fine! I will do it but as your family." he glared at her for blackmailing him again. Nora looked at him biting her lips. He meant that he would not attend their engagement as Alric’s brother but as her family.
"Alex!" Ava chided but Nora nodded.
"Yes, thank you for being my family." Nora accepted before Java could refuse. Ava frowned at Nora but the girl seemed confident with her decision.
"Fine! Do what you all want. I am getting old anyways. I will just relax in the spa you mentioned." she sighed and started eating again. Alric stayed silent too, looking lost in his thoughts.
