Chapter 427: Protect You
"I want you to tell me if you face any problem." He took her hand in his and held it tightly as if he was afraid that she would disappear if he would let her go.
Nora gulped down the lump formed on her chest.
"What if i say that this is not my first life. I have lived this life before. I have been trapped by my family and forced to marry Chris Benard and then he has made my life hell. I had run away from him only to find out that I was pregnant. He used the child against me. Whenever I play any tricks, he would hurt the child." her voice hitched, her heart raced, so many emotions she had buried deep down surfaced in her eyes.
It was getting hard to breathe yet she wanted to pour every single grievance out. Her voice rose again and again and she shivered.
"I started studying his businesses. Keep an eye on the investors and slowly, I started to steal some money. I have stolen a lot of secrets of his business and started to sell them. I have sold a few to you too. But then you killed your wife and your whole family, so I was afraid of meeting you again.
I have enough power to destroy Benard but before I could do that, he realized what I had done. And they... they took my daughter. They forced me to sign papers. Her eyes were full of tears as if a dam had been broken. Her voice was choking with emotions and her shoulders trembled as she spoke. Yet... Alric could not understand any of this.
