Chapter 377: She Was Hopeless!
"He left!" The words felt like lead. How and why did he leave her here? Did he not trust her? Was he sure that she would accept his father’s offer? Nora felt awful. She wanted to scream and scold him.
Did he think she was nothing but an opportunist? How in the world was she going to confess to him when he thought so low of her. Her eyes turned misy instantly. Wait a minute! She was going to confess to him? Her own thoughts left her dumbfounded when the secretary added.
"He might have gone to the restroom. It is also in that direction." the secretary looked away awkwardly when Nora glared at him as if she had intentionally hid this important part.
"What happened? Are you done?" before she could glare enough at the secretary. A deep manly sound filled her ears and then a warm hand touched her shoulders. Nora did not realize she was shivering until his hand touched her body.
Her eyes, barely holding tears, gave up.
Alric frowned when he noticed Nora was crying. The girl hardly cries. Even he could not move her emotions like that. Fury filled his chest instantly and he glared at the secretariat menacingly.
The secretary shrunk her presence. What did she do? She had pointed at the direction where he went. How was she supposed to know the reason for his leaving?
"Did my father say something to you?" The more he thinks about it, the more it seems possible. Why else would she cry suddenly.
"Nora, you do not need to take him seriously. Even if he asked me to leave you or tried to hurt you I will deal with it. What did he even ask you in return?" as if a dam had been broken, Nora leaned on him and hugged him tightly.
