"But.. but..!" Penny struggled but the policemen gripped her hand and dragged her out.
"Do you think you have the authority to argue? Have you forgotten the beating already?" Penny shrunk at once. Her face was ashen and deathly pale. Nora watched as the man dragged Penny out.
"Mam! The form.." the employee called her with an exhausted look. Nora nodded and took the form. They took a seat far away to fill the form.
"He is my man." Alric whispered to her ears, making her laugh.
"I know. He slightly nodded at you when your eyes met. Thank you." Alric smiled back. He took the form from her and filled it up.
"Alric! About the body..."
"I know! You do not need to worry. I will not do injustice to a dead person." Nora sighed. She did not have the heart to treat Sophia’s body well. But at the same time she did not want to be like them.
It took them only an hour to complete all the formalities and retrieve the body. Joe personally came to collect it and complete all the needed rituals.
There were hardly seventy people who attended the funeral. They didn’t care who was getting buried. They were here for Alric!
