Chapter 332: All Was Hers!
David frowned when he saw an empty room after returning in a hurry. His phone buzzed and another video of their family was trending in the search now.
"That girl had gone crazy!" his hand raised to throw the phone on the ground.
"Sir! This is the seventh and last phone we had. If you smash it, it will take at least three hours to bring a new one and the board meeting is about to start. You may need it." The voice was pleading but it sounded like a harsh order to David who glared at his assistant as if he wanted to tear her apart.
"Board meeting! Where is the board meeting? Am I supposed to attend it alone? You hurried me so much all this time but where are others?" he pointed at the empty meeting room with an ugly scowl on his face.
The assistant was at a loss of words too. Mr Connard had told them that he would delay the meeting. Did he not? Did the meeting already end? What was the result? She looked at David with wary eyes and the man immediately straightened as if he knew what passed through her mind.
David’s phone rang again. His face looked uglier when he noticed Sophia’s name flashing on the screen.
"This foolish woman!" He cut the call without remorse.
"Where is Chris? At least he should have informed me if the meeting started early?" He dialled Chris’s number but the line was busy. He dialled thrice but each time it was busy making him frustrated.
He raised the phone again but under the pleading gaze of his assistant, he did not throw it.
