Chapter 326: Without Pain!
Stunned words did not do justice with Alric. As if someone had pressed a pause button and he could not think anymore.
He stared at Nora as if he was watching her for the first time. Yet his heart raced. His body started to develop a mind on his own and before he knew it, he leaned to kiss her.
The kiss was hungry and sloppy. He wanted to devour her at once. He bit her lips hard and started to lick the wound he had created. Alric’s kiss was raw and demanding, as though he was trying to claim every part of her at that moment. Nora gasped at the intensity, her hands instinctively gripping his damp shoulders. His touch was fire, igniting every nerve in her body as he deepened the kiss, his lips pressing hers harder, hungrier.
"Alric..." she murmured against his lips, her voice trembling, but not with fear.
His hands roamed to her waist, pulling her closer, leaving no space between them. The weight of his emotions—desire, frustration, and a need he could no longer suppress—poured into every movement. He paused for a fraction of a second, his forehead pressed against hers as they both caught their breath.
"You don’t know what you’re doing to me," he rasped, his voice thick with restraint.
"Maybe I do," Nora replied, her voice soft but steady. Her eyes locked with his, filled with a mixture of defiance and vulnerability.
Alric froze for a moment, searching her face for hesitation, for a sign to stop. But all he saw was determination. It was maddening, intoxicating. His hand slid up to cradle her face, his thumb brushing her cheek as his lips descended to hers again, this time slower, more deliberate.
As the kiss deepened, the tension between them shifted. Nora felt a sense of control even as she surrendered to the intensity of the moment. Alric’s hand moved to the small of her back, holding her like she was the only thing anchoring him to reality.
