As Nora smiled and accepted the offer without putting any airs like Penny. They all realized that Nora had not spoken to them because they have not spoken to them.
The girl’s face brightened when she was offered the deal. Could it be that she has never been invited to the company before?
"Nora, would you like to visit the company and learn how it works?" asked another man and Nora’s eyes brightened further. She nodded eagerly as if she would follow the man then and there if he asked.
Many laughed looking at her expressions. Her face was still cold yet her eyes looked warm and invited.
"You look just like your mother and share her personality too." The man could not help but sigh. "Everyone thinks that it was your father who made this company. But it was your mother’s brain and hard work that William was successful. Alysa was such a strong and wise woman. Your looks, your brain.. It felt like I had met her again after a decade." the man sighed looking at Nora with longing.
Nora’s eyes flickered. A strange burning feeling covered her chest. She was not like her mother! Strong! She had taken two lives to fight her enemies! Yet she could not kill them then and there. She could not even collect enough proof to harm them in reality.
