"That wretched girl!" David spat those words glaring at the phone and then laughed loudly. Yet her eyes brimming with hatred. "Stop giving her monthly expenditure. When the money in her pocket would end, she would return to us."
Sophia shifted to her seat. Her small actions did not go unnoticed by David.
"Sophia.." he warned.
Sophia bit her lips. "Honey, she was so rude and insulting. I wanted to discipline her so I did not offer her money when she chose to stay in the dorms. I wanted to pay her, trust me. I only wanted her to beg me for it. But she never came to ask for money and then.. It had been months that I completely forgot about it. I.. i didn’t do it intentionally." David was stunned but then his eyes flicker cold.
It had been around four months since Nora had left their house. If she had still not asked for money.
"Someone is supporting her. Could it be Spencer? But why would he?" then it dawned on him. Ainstons and Spencer wanted to tie the knot between their kids. Now that Ainston’s are targeting Nora!
His eyes gleamed with joy!
"Darling! Nora had hit the jackpot." Sophpia frowned. That wretched girl?! Except for her looks, what did she have? How could she win over Spencer? They were nothing in comparison to their family. "Be kind to her when she returns. We have to secure a good position through her." he moved closer and grasped her hands.
He squeezed them lovingly when she did not reply.
