Chapter 239: I Love You!
"Teacher, you should not confront Nora like this." Amyra’s chest burnt. She had thought Nora would be left humiliated after the dinner. She had even hoped that her entrance to such a prestigious competition would be questioned after that. But not only had she earned the praise of everyone, she had taken a large amount of money with her.
Amyra had lost around twenty thousand dollars already. If she does not add the bills of the hotel for running the room. Everytime she thought about it, she wanted to kill her.
"Do you think she could write that research paper too?" Jennifer sounded lost. She had always been proud about her intellect, her degrees and her diligence when it comes to research. Her devotion was praised everywhere. But a young girl with no background or hard work had earned the praise of Gabriel. How could she accept it?
"I am not sure, teacher. But all I know is.. Everyone likes her and believes her. If we target her, we will earn humiliation for ourselves. She will soon win the competition too." Amyra’s voice was low and full of pain but she tried to endure it. But Jennifger could not.
"Ha! Since is so much better, I want to see how she performs in tomorrow’s exam." Jennifer snorted and stood up to leave.
"Teacher! Do not do anything reckless.. Please." her pleadined expressions twisted into a malicious one when Jennifer turned and walked away. In the end she was grinning when she saw her leaving.
"Oh teacher! What shall I do about you!" AMyra shook her head but her eyes were sinister. She stood up and went to the Alric room, but she did not enter. She stood there and waited patiently while talking to someone over the phone.
A waiter came running from the other side. He nodded at her and passed her a key. Amyra looked at the key with a dark gaze. She was holding it with trembling hands as if she was holding a rare treasure.
"Alric!" she whispered dreamily. She walked to the door and placed the key card. The door opened at once.
