Chapter 164: A Tigeress In Sheep Clothing.
"We need a replacement in the team for practice." a boy scanned the girls sitting in the corner and then a lone girl with earbuds in her ears. "You, come with us." he pointed at Nora.
Nora raised a brow but did not move. The boy frowned when he did not get any reply.
"Nora, I remember that you do not have any team to practice here. One of the girls in the team is not feeling well. And I want a replacement. Come with me." he explained again but Nora still did not move. She only stared at him as if he was a fool.
The boy felt embarrassed the way she looked at him and his frown grew deeper.
"If you do not come with me, I will complain to the teacher and you will lose your marks." he warned with a cold glare. "You only need to pass the ball. It is not a difficult job. And if you come with me, I will ask for extra marks for you. Come on, you can do this easily." Nora wanted to laugh at this carrot and stick method. It would have worked perfectly with her earlier naive self. But now she could smell the trick from a distance.
But then she nodded and stood up.
The boy was feeling uneasy. It was a simple task but the way Nora looked at him made him feel uneasy.
He wanted to run away under that cold gaze.
"Fine! But remember! Extra marks." Nora stood up and patted the dust off her clothes. The boy relaxed instantly and nodded.
