Chapter 133: I Have No Choice
"Are you serious?" Kate held Penny’s hands tightly "you could be in danger if you listen to them. We should inform your family or police. We can go to the principal too. What if the person had bad intentions?" Penny rolled her eyes. She wanted to curse this foolish girl in her heart.
Which blackmailer would have good intentions. But no, she needed Kate. She needed proof right now.
She hugged Kate tightly and shivered in her arms.
"Kate, I am scared too. But I have no choice. I will be back soon. It is only about money and I have a lot to spare." she patted Kate’s shoulders as if she was passing her strength to Kate.
"But.." Kate looked anxious. She wanted to stop Penny but she knew Penny would not listen to her. "If that is the case, I will come with you."
Kate looked nervous, but she said with determination in her voice. That was the effect Penny wanted.
Penny looked uneasy as if she was contemplating but in the end, she shook her head.
"No, that could be dangerous. If I do not come back, you will inform my mother." Penny squeezed Kate’s hands before leaving from there. She was holding her purse tightly as if her life was depending on it.
It left Kate uneasy. She hesitated only for a second before picking up her phone and following Penny.
