Chapter 106: Debts Are Settled.
"Are we looking alright?" a man dressed in a suit asked his partner. The partner wiped the sweat off his face and nodded while adjusting his own tie.
They both looked out of the place as they sat in the lavish restaurant while looking at the door without blinking.
"What do you think could be the reason for suddenly summoning us?" Cain asked softly. He wiped the sweat off his face trying to look confident.
"I do not know. It had nothing to do with the recent sales I am sure. Perhaps, they had ideas to share with us." though he said so, his voice was so dim that even he could not believe it. The other man nodded hurriedly, gulping a glass of water.
Just when they were looking around, a young school girl stood in front of their table. She was still wearing a uniform and had a cast in her left hand. They looked at her with a dumbfounded look for a second. Her sweet smile was enchanting and her watery eyes looked so beautiful.
"Little girl do you need something?" they could not help but ask in a worried tone. "We are waiting for someone and extremely busy." Nora looked at both of them and rolled her eyes. Taking off her bag, she was on the opposite side.
The man frowned when he saw her opening her bag and taking out an envelope. They knew it must be a form for donation or such. It was a popular thing among teenagers these days. But most of the time, the money goes in their own pockets instead of charity. The fraud had irked them.
"Hey! We are not interested in your schemes. I have already told you to leave. Hurry and go before we call the staff." the man warned her but the other young man frowned and stared at the envelope.
"Read it first or you will regret it." her voice was so cold that it did not match her face at all. Cain wanted to scold her again but the other man stopped him.
