Chapter 53: Take Her Home
In the dormitory,
Penny sat on her seat and took out her worksheet. But her eyes were on Lisa and Linda. They have not said a word after what happened today. Penny’s eyes narrowed at the page. She had asked the question from Nora and she was able to give it. She gives it in front of everyone.
For years, Nora had been doing her assignments silently and then wrote her notes too. She kept Nora busy to the limit that she never had the time to make her notes.
And then Penny had threatened her not to perform well in the exams and gain the limelight. The foolish girl has followed the command so far without a complaint. Who would have thought that she would refuse to do it in the last year! What changed?
She repeated the past week in her mind and did not understand where Nora started to change? Even when she had joined the dorm, she was so submissive.
"It must be that Alex!" she cursed. Her grip on the pen tightened so much that it screeched and fell on the ground. Penny punched the table with force and then started crying.
The other two girls could not help but look at her with worry.
"Penny, are you okay?" Asked Linda, reluctant to stand up. But Lisa had already stood up and walked to Penny.
"Hey, what happened? You look so stressed." LIsa placed her hand on Penny’s shoulders and asked in a soft voice.
