Chapter 43: I Will Be The One
Everytime Nora hugged Alex, he felt a strange tightness in his chest.
"What kind of perfume do you use?" he asked with a scowl when he pushed her slightly away from his body. But then his eyes narrowed at the marks on her skin. Someone had tried to strangle her. Was that the reason she was wearing a turtleneck shirt even in summer.
She adjusted her neck when she noticed his gaze and nonchalantly took a step back. When she noticed the dumbfounded look of the other two boys, she smirked at them.
"I do not use any. Why?" Alex looked away from her. Noticed that he was caring for the girl. It should not matter to him whether she was strangled or killed. She had come here by blackmailing him. But why in the world was he so worked up then?
"You should use one sometimes. At least when you are going out." her head snapped back to him. Did the punk called her stinky?
She glared at him only to see an enjoying smile on his face.
"We are already late but your clothes would not fit for the club." the other friend pointed out that he could not stand it. Though it looked like Alex had mocked her, the rare smile he offered her was hard to achieve even for them.
He noticed that too. She was dressed too casually.
"Then let’s go racing. It has been days since I have done it." Alex changed his plan so chalantly for her that everyone stared at him again. He was never to change his plans to show how stubborn he was.
