Chapter 6: The Girls Swapped
The words seem to please him. He finally nodded with a grim face. "Call her. I will decide after meeting her." his voice sounded much softer than before and he even gave a look to the drink.
Sophia nodded with a fawning smile on her face. But when she turned toward the stairs. Her eyes were red and cold with the desire to kill.
Her hold on the banister tightened. "Could it be that the foolish girl had realized something was wrong?" the way she fell and dirtied her dress and ran away in the name of cleaning it looked too coincidental. But she immediately shook that thought away.
There was no way that she could know the truth. She had no access to the outer world and that foolish girl trusted us completely.
With that thought, she climbed the stairs. She missed her daughter who was already in the kitchen hiding. Penny had come downstairs after locking her sister in the room. She had confirmed from maids. The man visiting them was indeed a rich businessman. She had searched his net worth on the internet quickly and found it in millions. She would marry a millionaire if she convinced him.
Her eyes glitter with greed and joy. But her mother did not leave the boss alone. Her mother had chosen Nora. and she knew her mother never heard no as an answer. So, she had been hiding in the kitchen and watching them for an opening.
And now she got it. She adjusted her hair and pulled her dress lower so that an ample amount of her breasts could be seen. Her eyes filled with resolve to seduce the man for himself.
There was no way she was going to let Nora marry in a rich family and stay as a poor girl herself.
"Mr. Withermoore, have you been waiting for a long time?" She gave him a seductive smile as she ran a hand in her hair and sat beside the man instead of sitting on the opposite side.
