Chapter 110 - 109 The Aftermath
Olivia crawled closer to Luke’s body. She touched his face. He had already gone cold. A tear dropped from her eyes at the realisation.
She instantly turned around when she heard footsteps. There, she saw part of her worst nightmare.
It was Diana and the rest of her squad. Bella saw the sight and ran towards them. She shoved Olivia away before her knees dragged into the ground.
She shakily checked Luke’s nose to see if he was still breathing. But she felt nothing. Her body trembled with pain and anger.
Diana’s feet faltered weakly. She had known that something was wrong, but she never expected to find Luke lying lifelessly on the ground.
They have fought numerous battles with the monsters. He didn’t die. But why now? Why? Her emotions crashed into her like a tidal wave.
She clutched her chest in pain. Her eyes flickered to the person who was beside her. Olivia’s clothes were covered in blood. Diana gritted her teeth. Her eyes landed on Lucian, who looked very pale and exhausted. It looked like he was barely hanging on.
"What have you done to him?" Bella held Olivia by her clothes. She stood up, her nose flaring.
Olivia didn’t know how to answer that question. She wasn’t even trying to defend herself. After all, everything happened because of her.
