Olivia’s eyes darted towards Lucian now and then, her fingers tightened around her pen. She turned to Klaus, who was sitting beside her.
"Was this necessary?" she asked, her eyes burning with anger.
Klaus turned to her. "Yes." He stared straight into her eyes.
Olivia bit her lower lip. Now Lucian was going to think that they were really dating. She really wanted to go to him and explain everything to him. Would he even believe her?
"Today’s class is going to be theory. Because some thieves broke into the laboratory last night, cutting open my special specimen. I know the culprit is here in this class," Verax’s voice echoed in the room, hushing every sound in the room.
Olivia froze in her seat as she heard what he said. Did he find out that she was the one? She swallowed. Her eyes met with his; she tried her best not to avert her gaze.
Verax had suspicions about Olivia. He believed she was the one who did it. He tried to intimidate her with his gaze. If she looked away, then he would be able to confirm his suspicion. He hissed annoyingly when Olivia held his gaze.
"Just so you all know, we are already conducting an investigation. We will find the culprit very soon. So if you know the person, I would advise you to point him or her out... or anonymously," he continued, his eyes gazing at every student. He loved the way he made them shift in their seats.
But few students sat unbothered by his presence, and that included Olivia. But he did not know that she was about to pass out from fear of being discovered.
