Minister Morris nodded, "You are right. Looks like I did not think carefully this time and took a misstep. Then you are right indeed. We should be thankful that the little girl did nothing too extreme because of my actions."
Madam Morris nodded. "Yes. Looks like whatever you did did not harm her goal. That was why she went easy on us. Anyway, now that you understand, let’s go. It is not good for us to stay here for too long."
The couple left the room and started mingling with the guests once again like nothing had happened.
"Helena," Minister Morris called out when he saw her.
Helena looked at him in surprise. His expression seemed completely different from earlier, and she wasn’t quite used to it.
"Minister Morris? Do you have something you need from me?" She asked him politely once she walked to him.
He shook his head. He beckoned her to a place with fewer people and whispered softly, "If nothing huge happened, let’s call it even?"
"..." Helena blinked her eyes in shock. Even though his words sound a bit weird, she could see that he was raising a white flag towards her. She did not expect this from him at all.
When she did what she did, all she hoped was for Professor Jones to give a good scolding to her husband, and he would stay away from her.
If he did not say a word right now, they wouldn’t even have to continue their ’fight’ anymore, and it would have been buried just like that.
She blinked her eyes for a few more seconds, and Minister Morris felt embarrassed.
