"Enough." Madam Morris shouted. "Are you done? What nonsense are you doing, fighting against a little girl? Aren’t you ashamed? Even if you are not, I am. To say that you are my husband, when Helena talked about how I should put a leash on you and teach you a good lesson, do you know how humiliated I was? I lost face because of you. And yet you want to punish that little girl?
"If you want to punish someone for my sake, then you have to punish yourself first. If not for you, I wouldn’t have suffered any of that."
"I..." Minister Morris wanted to say something, but no words came out of his throat.
"What ’I’? Where did all your words go?" Madam Morris crossed her arms and asked.
Minister Morris coughed and sneakily turned to look at his daughter for help. It all started because of you. You should have helped me instead of going against me.
Faye blinked her eyes innocently. I didn’t do anything.
"Why are you looking at her? Since you did something, you should answer. What use is there in dragging your daughter into your mess?" Madam Morris asked.
Faye immediately nodded her head and even stood behind her mother as if seeking her protection. But her father knows that she is just trying to get on her mother’s good side so that the fire wouldn’t be directed towards her after his turn was over.
"Honey, listen to me, okay. How did I drag our daughter into this mess, huh? If not for her, why would I even have to go against that young lady Ford? Why would I even have any grudge against her?" He softly spoke while slowly taking small steps towards his wife. He held her hand slowly and looked into her eyes with love, trying to melt her heart.
