"I still can’t believe that you went into shock just because you felt I knew Helena more than you. You brat." Vincent’s lips twitched when he recalled that. "We were scared for nothing. You should apologize to Helena later. Just stay with her and give her a shoulder.
"She had just lost her mother. I don’t know if you noticed or not, but she had yet to come out of that grief. So, giving your shoulder to her is your most important task right now as her husband. Everything else can wait."
When Vernon said that he knew Helena better than himself, Vincent couldn’t help but to think.
If he did not even notice such a small detail, then did he even notice that Helena was still in her grieving period for her mother?
Until then, Vincent only thought that it was very obvious. He never thought that his brother could be oblivious.
So, he couldn’t help but remind him.
Vernon looked at him and nodded. As he had expected, Vincent had noticed this before he did once again.
But he did not say anything so as not to worry his brother anymore than he already did.
"Vernon, knowing a person completely is a bit overrated. It is next to impossible. You might understand each other’s habits after being together for a long time but no one’s tastes stay the same. Everything changes. What you know yesterday might not be true today.
"Don’t read those love stories and movies and think too much. Come back to reality. You have to understand each other slowly. Do you understand?"
"Yes." Vernon replied seriously. He understood that it is no longer about knowing his wife but understanding her.
