My Cold-Hearted Husband Wants Me Back

Chapter 21: A Slap For A Prove

Lunara’s smirk didn’t waver, but her grip on her sleeve tightened. "Your mother?" she echoed, tilting her head slightly. "If you’re going to accuse me again, then I want to leave right this moment. Because no... I don’t have any relationship with your mother."

Eryx crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow with a mocking smirk. "No connection with my mother, yet she chose you as her daughter-in-law?"

Lunara’s eyes widened at his words. "What do you mean?"

Eryx scoffed. "Don’t play dumb. You and my mother planned this all along... That night. She sent you to my room, didn’t she?"

"I really don’t have time for this. I already told you, I have nothing to do with your mother. And that night—" she gulped, her voice unsteady before she continued, "I... I was drugged by someone. I don’t want to talk about it because it’s something shameful for me. So if you could at least respect that and let me leave, please."

He frowned. "Who? Your father?"

Lunara looked at him, her irritation growing. "It looks like you know everything, sir." Her voice was laced with sarcasm as her eyes narrowed. "Yes, the man who was supposed to be my father sold me just to settle his debt. Satisfied? Now, can I leave?"

"But you’re not listed as his daughter..." His low voice carried a hint of curiosity.

She sighed, rubbing her temple. "I believe my family matters are none of your concern."

Eryx studied her, his jaw tightening. "You expect me to believe that my mother chose you out of nowhere? That all of this is just some coincidence?"

Lunara met his gaze, her expression unreadable. "Believe what you want, Mr. Grantham. But I have no reason to lie."
