My Cold-Hearted Husband Wants Me Back

Chapter 7: He Didn’t Remember

Water splashed everywhere as Eryx released Lunara, letting her drop into the icy bathtub without a second thought.

"Enjoy your bath, wifey," he said smoothly, turning to leave.

But before he could take another step, a sharp gasp filled the air.

He turned slightly, only to see Lunara hugging herself, her soaked clothes clinging to her shivering frame. Her body trembled violently, her lips parting as if to protest, but all that came out was a weak, breathless whimper.

"Too cold?" he mused, tilting his head. Although winter was nearing its end, the night air was still sharp enough to make the freezing water unbearable.

Eryx leaned against the wall, arms crossed, watching her with a smirk. "I guess you finally regained consciousness?" His voice was smooth, almost amused.

She shot him a glare, but it lacked its usual fire, her body too focused on not freezing to death. "Y-you—" her teeth chattered mid-sentence, ruining whatever insult she had planned.

Eryx raised an eyebrow. "What's that? You're shaking too much for me to understand, wifey."

Lunara bit her lip, determined, as she gripped the edge of the bathtub and slowly pushed herself up.

The moment she moved, her soaked shirt clung tighter to her body, turning nearly transparent under the dim light.

Eryx's eyes flickered downward for half a second before he looked away, jaw tightening. "Whoa, whoa... bad move, Miss Wifey." He took a step back, running a hand through his hair. "You better stay down before you make this more troublesome. Let me grab you a bathrobe."
