At this point, Dante really was feeling that, he was being interrogated by his future father in law, rather than a small kid, who also happens to be his own son.

But coming to think about it, he was also right. Having looked over and kept an eye over Dove for so long, Dante was very much aware that Dove had a lot of admirers despite the fact that they all knew that she was a single mother to a little boy. And while, some maintained a respectable distance after she would say that she was not looing for romance with anyone, but a few would just continue to pester.

And Dove did not know but Dante was one who helped her to get rid of such annoying mosquitoes! After all, his woman was studying, working so hard in the company, and also looking after their baby! And they were there to pester her with such things?! He was absolutely not going to allow it.

Well, even if she wasn’t doing any of those, she would still not allow anyone around her.

Taking a deep breathe again, Dante looked at Gavi sincerely, and smiled a little. He could say that this little guy genuinely was very concerned about his mother and wanted the best for her. And he started, "Gavi, I really like your mother a lot, and I really want to marry her. I know she deserves the best of the best in this world. And I will try my everything to be someone she deserves. I will always try and keep her happy and give everything she would want. Truth to be told, I have never met any other woman in my life, who had made me feel as if giving up my everything for her is worth, except your mother. So please, Gavi, now that you already know about it, can you please give my your consent."

Gavi looked at Dantee, his eyes slightly squinting, before his face softened and he nodded his head and like an adult, he folded his hands and nodded his head, "Hm, your words were quite convincing so, I would agree for now." Gavi nodded his head and then said, "But I am only approving you to court my momma. But I will keep a very close eye on you, Uncle Dante. If I ever see that you are not treating my mom fairly, or an objecting behaviour, I will not allow my momma to date you." Dante looked at the little boy, and nodded his head.

All this while, Dante had only one feeling and that is, if Dove’s dad would be alive, then he would be interrogating him the same. Gavi then smiled like the baby he was again, and said, "Alright, Uncle Dante, best of luck. And I hope that you pass the test, because you are not going to get a second chance at it." After all, what Gavi felt that his mom also did not dislike Uncle Dante approaching her, how she disliked other uncles.

Dante smiled back at the little boy. And the next second, he froze as he came to a realisation. He actually got his son! And that actually meant that he got his son o his side! So, in other words, he actually succeeded in somewhat of his goal!
