Chapter 149: YOU ARE NOW UNDER MY WING, DISCIPLE
Knock* knock*
Dove heard a knock on her door when she had just finished reviewing a file and was stretching her arms. She instinctively turned back towards the door, and the next second heard a charming voice, "May I come in, Miss CEO?"
Hearing Dante’s voice, Dove smiled before saying, "Yes, you may." And then she saw the door push open a little, as Dante peeked in to show his handsome face, before entering. "Did I come at a right time? I am not disturbing anything, am I?"
Dove turned to look at him, before shaking her head, and said, "No, it’s a perfect time." And saying so, she out down the files she had in her hand seeing Dante come in, and sit in front of her.
Leaning forward excitedly, she asked with her excited eyes, "How did I do it? How was it?" Normally, Dove would never ask anyone such question after she takes a decision about something. But this time, she wanted to ask. After all, it was his brilliant idea to get those shares. He told her to get it all up, instead to just scaring them and leaving. Who knows that they plan out something behind her back after sometime, and then she would be left with no option?
And that she did.
Dante smiled at her, and tilted his head and said, "You were really. You looked like a gorgeous bully." Hearing him, Dove blinked her eyes, then pressed her lips together and frowned a little. "Why does it sound a little ...." Rude!?
Bully? That doesn’t really sound good.
And seeing her face, and almost reading her mind, Dante chuckled and said, "It was not in a wrong sense, Dove." He had a pleasant feeling in his heart, while having this conversation with her, because he can see that Dove had already let in side her guard, and was friendly to him compared to how she treated most of the other people.
Leaning forward towards her a little, he then said, "Then will you believe me if I say that you looked so cool and gorgeous today that you took my breath away?"
"..." Dove felt her breath hitch and she froze in her place, staring at Dove with her unblinking gaze, and Dante too held her gaze with his own. She opened her mouth to say something but then closed it back not really having anything to say. Her cheeks felt warm, and he feared if they became red.
