Chapter 127: GAVI BEING THE HERO
"Come, Momma! Sit here." Gavi patted the chair next to him, his round cheeks lifted into a wide, gleeful smile.
Dove blinked at him before a small chuckle escaped her lips. "You want to sit between us?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.
The little boy nodded eagerly, his dark eyes twinkling with excitement.
Then, turning toward Dante, he batted his long lashes, his expression turning mischievously sweet. "Uncle Dante, are you mad that I’m sitting next to you?"
Dante’s gaze softened as he looked at the little boy beside him. Gavi’s smile was so wide that his eyes squinted into crescent moons, his tiny dimples peeking out.
For a brief second, Dante wondered what was going on in that tiny head of his. But deep inside, he felt an unexpected warmth bloom in his chest.
Did Gavi genuinely want to sit beside him, because he liked him so much?
He didn’t overthink it. Instead, a big grin plastered on his face, and he chuckled. He was just more than happy to share his space with the little one.
"Of course not, champ," Dante said, his voice rich with amusement. He reached out and gently ruffled Gavi’s soft hair before pinching his chubby cheeks. "In fact, I’m honored to have you sit beside me, little sir."
He said gently pinching his fluffy cheeks.
Gavi pursed his lips, his cheeks flushing slightly at the praise.
