Chapter 105: A GOOD FIRST DAY
As they laughed while talking, walking back to Dove’s office, Noah who was coming to approach Dove, for a moment froze, standing in his place, as he looked at them giggle at something Dante said standing there.
And Noah clenched his teeth, and his hands turned into fists. It has been so long that Dove had laughed so genuinely when she was with him. So long that, he doesn’t even remember clearly when she had such a beautiful smile on her face, when talking to him.
And it burned him from inside. Why? Why did he do that? What if instead of pushing her away, I had gotten closer to her? Would she have accepted me? Would she....have fallen in love with me? Noah gulped the bitterness in his throat, as he wondered.
As his eyes on fixed on Dove, and the beautiful smile she had on her lips, what he did not know was that Dante had already seen him.
And Dante did not one bit like how he was staring at his woman. At first, though Dante had pointed it out, he was still a little doubtful. But now he was sure. Sure, that this man had unsaid feelings for Dove. And Dante would like it, if those feelings remain unsaid in it self.
Because there was no way that he was going to let him succeed in what he was planning too.
It is alreaytoo late for him to make a move now. And thankfully it is late.
Taking a deep breath, Noah was about to resume his steps towards them, when Dove’s eyes slightly widened, as if she remembered something. And both of them picked up slight pace, and then soon got in, in the exclusive elevator. And Noah, now what could he do. He stood there, pressing his lips together. Before he finally sighed and turned around to go to his office.
He would slowly and steadily make progress. There was no rush after all.
