Chapter 97: EXERCISING DUO
Dove was a little surprised when she saw Dante standing outside the room, after all he had left a while ago before she started patting Gavi to sleep.
"Mr Lancaster...?" Dove blurted out a little surprised. Dante smiled a little awkwardly and said, "I was attending a call, and before returning to my room, I decided to give a look if everything is alright."
Hearing him, Dove smiled at Dante softly and nodded her head. She then lowered her head, before she said, "Mr Lancaster, thank you so much for worrying so much about my son."
But then she heard Dante tsk a little, before he chuckled and said, "Miss Dove, do you know how many times have you thanked me today?" Dove blinked her eyes and he laughed a little before continuing, "If I were to get a dollar for everything you thank me then at this rate perhaps, I would be a very rich man."
Hearing him say that, Dove chuckled and said, "Then you must be forgetting Mr Lancaster, that you are already a very rich man."
"Oh, is that so?" Dante replied innocently and hearing him say that, Dove couldn’t help but laugh.
Then pursing her lips, she said, "Anyway on the serious matter, I really want to thank you Mr Lancaster. For really caring about my son. Gavi, he has grown up with very minimal male interaction untill now. And today, he was really happy to be around you. Thank you so much."
Dante listened to Dove very carefully, before he smiled at her, and said, "Though I understand you very well, Miss Dove. But please if you thank me for such little reasons everytime than I would be very upset. Besides, I really like Gavi. He makes me happy too."
Well what Dante really wanted to say was that Gavi was his son too! And she did not have to thank him for being good to his own son. But he knew that he would say that, then perhaps, no not perhaps, he was sure that she was going to kill him.
