Chapter 82: HERE TO KEEP MY PROMISE
"But aren’t you bothered that your son doesn’t have a fat-"
"Uh- huh! Careful, mister. My son’s father wouldn’t like that. And me? You better be careful."
It was a blatant warning right there.
Dove’s words right there implied that, there goes the limit and a line that she has drawn and nobody better cross that line. But along with that, what went unsaid yet impactful was that, her son had a father. So they better not say something they shouldn’t.
This time, that particular reporter did not say anything. And he lowered his head slightly before nodding and said, "Thank you, Miss Dove." And though he felt heavy glares being passed from Jacob and Noren’s side, he did not look at their direction at all.
Though he might have agreed to do what they had asked, to put Dove in a difficult and losing position with the information they had given him. But he cannot push it any further. He too had a job to save after all. Because, if he pushed it more than this, then it would be called unprofessional on his side and people would completely understand that he was deliberately targeting Dove.
Moreover, from the answered until now, Dove and proven herself very worthy of answering and facing the press. He could not really find anything worthy of pressing against her.
Dove smiled at him, and though there was nothing to answer, she chuckled, "Your most welcome, Mr Journalist." At this, the person’s face turned slightly red and he kept his head lowered.
He wasn’t sure about what others understood about her response, but he felt that Dove really did understand that he was trying to put her in difficult position. And well, that was right.
