Three months. Three whole months of everything in my life fell perfectly into place.

I was graduating. I had already chosen which university I would attend. The moment my acceptance letter arrived, it felt like every late-night study session, every stressful exam, and every second of hard work had been worth it.

On top of that, I had received multiple invitations to join some of the most prestigious women’s professional hockey teams.

And to top it all off, I was dating the most beautiful woman on the planet.

I stood in front of my full-length mirror, running my hands down my dress with a grin. It was stunning—a deep, rich shade of emerald green, hugging my figure in all the right places.

The satin fabric shimmered slightly under the light, catching on my curves as I turned. The neckline was just low enough to be daring but not over the top, and the slit running up one side showed just the right amount of leg. The back dipped low, exposing my toned shoulders and upper back.

I had let my hair down for once, instead of tying it up like I usually did for games or training. Thick, dark waves cascaded over my shoulders and down my back, sleek and smooth. I had taken my time styling it, and it looked... elegant. Beautiful, even. I felt amazing.

My makeup was simple but well done—just enough to enhance my sharp features without making me feel like I had caked something onto my face.

A subtle smoky eye, mascara that made my lashes look long and thick, a natural blush, and deep red lipstick that matched my nails perfectly.

And the shoes—oh, the shoes.
