I swung my leg over my motorcycle, throwing the helmet on my head, gripping the handles as I prepared to start the engine to head home when I heard footsteps approaching me.
I turned my head slightly, already knowing who it was before she even spoke.
"Hey, Kat."
Savannah.
She smiled at me, her curly hair catching the late afternoon sun, eyes bright with something playful, something teasing.
"Hey," I said, forcing a smile.
"You ride this thing every day?" she asked, resting her hand on the seat behind me.
Since she already knows how good I am at Hockey and knows that I’m gay and get bullied for it at school, I am pretty sure she already knows the answer to her question.
So, I guess I will just humor her.
"Yeah, I do."
