Chapter 3: Glyndon Walton
- Glyndon Walton: (Song of the Chapter: Okay by Chase Atlantic)
"Good morning, beautiful." Alex King's voice broke through the quiet morning air, carrying a playful warmth.
I stood in front of my family's mansion, dressed in our school's purple uniform, my freshly cut brown hair grazing the nape of my pale neck.
A bob haircut has always been my favorite.
Alex sat in his brand new car, the one his dad had gifted him for his 18th birthday, his lips curled into a smirk as he waited for me.
I tightened my grip on the straps of my backpack, chuckling softly before breaking into a light jog toward the car.
Sliding into the passenger seat, I quickly kissed his cheek, feeling the roughness of his growing beard against my lips.
It made me cringe for some reason, but I pushed the thought aside.
"Good morning to you too," I replied, settling in next to him and fastening my seatbelt. "You didn't have to pick me up. The driver could've given me a ride."
He shot me a playful glance, his voice deep and confident. "Don't say that, pretty. I'm happy to give my future wife a ride every morning."
A slow smile tugged at my lips as my gaze drifted over him.
