Game of Love and Deception: The Billionaire's Ex Wife

Chapter 115: You’re dead to me

He walked into the living room and froze in horror. Kayla was on all fours on the couch, Christian gripping her from behind, slamming into her without pause. Both of them were drenched in sweat, lost in the moment.

Everything around Lorenzo blurred, and a familiar emptiness settled over him like a wave.

He had only started dating Kayla to forget Ashley, to move on even when it felt impossible. But he’d treated her right. He gave her everything she wanted—everything he could afford—tried to love her, and was beginning to fall for her. And Christian—he’d become a friend after Lorenzo helped him with a school project back in their first year. Their bond grew stronger since then, until they turned best friends.

Now, all he could think was how much he regretted not owning a gun—he would’ve shot them both without blinking.

Christian’s voice snapped him out of his trance. "I’m going to make you mine... forever!"

Lorenzo spun around, shoving the murderous thoughts to the back of his mind. In his daze, he kicked something, making a loud noise. The pair stopped mid-motion and turned to look at him, eyes wide.

"Lorenzo!" they called out in shock, but he was already gone—running, like a wounded animal, hands pressed to his ears.

He didn’t slow down until he stormed into his workplace, legs trembling beneath him. Sweat ran down his face, and his eyes burned with unshed tears. Each step felt heavy, like wading through mud.

The sounds around him—the buzz of clippers, customers chatting—faded into the background. He felt like he was drowning. He couldn’t tell which hurt more: Christian’s betrayal or Kayla’s cheating.

His hands shook as he started barbing his first customer’s hair, almost nicking the man’s ear. Evans shot him a concerned glance.

"You okay, boy?" Evans mouthed.
